Profil
The profile required for this position is as follows: • University degree in logistics, procurement management or business management. • Qualification of a recognized institution in medical logistics. • Professional qualification in procurement or equivalent. • Prior professional experience of 3 years in logistics or in medical and pharmaceutical procurement management and skills in contract/framework agreement management. • Knowledge and understanding of the supply chain and purchasing and ordering procedures with suppliers (identification, evaluation and relationship with suppliers). • Proven ability to analyse customer demands and trends, develop strategies and fill gaps. • General computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel). • Knowledge of international transport and import procedures (Incoterms, customs clearance, etc.). • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French. Description
The Opportunity : The Procurement Officer works within the Regional Procurement Unit (RPU) under the responsibility of the Regional Procurement Coordinator. He will participate in the management and processing of international orders in an optimal manner (lead time and quality of service) for all countries in Save the Children International's (SCI) coverage area in West and Central Africa.
