CANDIDATE’S PROFILE :
· You hold a bachelor/master degree in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or any other relevant medical background with special training/ experience in paediatric rehabilitation.
· You have a minimum experience of 02 years in a similar position (Technical Support in a Technical Unit Program)
· You have proven experience and knowledge in the domain of disability and rehabilitation with a specific focus on early child development in addition to supporting public health facilities
· You are fluent in writing and speaking English or French with a working knowledge of the other language (English or French)
· You show strong ability and interest in advisory tasks and skills’ transfers

Handicap International is seeking
Health and Rehabilitation Technical Support - LAO
Handicap International is looking for a Health & Rehabilitation Technical Support to contribute to the development programme in Lao (position to be based in Vientiane with occasional trips to provinces).
The position is vacant starting from June, the 1st 2016 for a duration of 2 years .
Short description of the project / fields of intervention:
Handicap International (HI) has been operating in Lao since 1996, implementing mainly development actions aimed at improving the protection, quality of life, and the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The presence of one advisor is still needed to answer technical needs of the teams and support the most complex elements of the projects (policy level work, technical task force, etc…)
Very short description of the missions:
Your main missions will be:
ü Providing need based technical support to the projects’ teams and partners : 60% of the time
ü Ensuring qualitative projects’ monitoring and evaluation (M&E) : 15% of the time
ü Building on qualitative projects’ knowledge management : 10% of the time
ü Assessing & ensuring the adequacy between HI & Lao strategies and technical positioning with current and future projects : 10% of the time
