Description
CONTEXT
The MSF Academy for Healthcare is an intersectional training initiative that focuses on strengthening the skills and competencies of frontline healthcare workers, with the will to have a long-term impact on the quality of care provided in the countries where MSF intervenes. The specificity of the approach adopted by the MSF Academy lays in focusing on the support of the learners while on the job: our team members in the field are solely dedicated to the learning and competencies development of the learners. We aim to maintain the same overall educational approach in all its projects: competency-based learning; as much as possible on-the-job training with the presence of strong tutors or clinical mentors; and seeking to achieve appropriate accreditation for all trainings, often in collaboration with partner teaching institutes.
The programme is managed by a global team composed of five project managers, 10 technical experts (in nursing sciences, pedagogy, clinical mentoring, clinical medicine and administration) and additional ad hoc resources (e.g., technical expertise and training content writers). The team also counts with tutors for the individual accompaniment of participants in our distance-learning programmes. The field teams in Sierra Leone, Central African Republic, Mali, South Sudan, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Yemen are composed of representatives, pedagogical managers and clinical mentors. They are responsible for developing programme-specific strategies, ensuring successful implementation of our learning programmes and networking with the concerned MSF projects and other stakeholders. We have a growing portfolio of projects addressing specific learning objectives for different categories of healthcare professions in MSF. All these projects are chosen in line with overall MSF operational and medical priorities.
As MSF Academy Curriculum Content proofreader, you will focus on proofreading the units developed for the face to face and digital versions of the Basic Clinical Nursing Care programme (referred to as BCNC), the units from the Midwifery curriculum, and various elements of the training on clinical facilitation (TOF) and the training on clinical mentoring (TOM).
You report to the Resource Manager of the MSF Academy, and you will be in close interaction with the nursing referent, the midwife referent and the pedagogical experts and the project managers all involved in the nursing & midwifery initiative of the Academy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Proof-reading FR versions of the various learning units’ documents and e-Learning material to ensure coherence and clarity, as per the necessity, and flagging potential errors in EN version if spotted (as done comparing FR translation to EN original). This entails contents linked to:

- Face-to-face BCNC systemic approach
- eBCNC (6 units and one module)
- the midwifery content:
- Face-to-face: 3 modules
- the TOM & TOF:
- Face-to-face package
- Self-paced (in FR and in EN)
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall goals and operations of the team on proofreading contents.
Appointment and conditions of employment
- Starting date: 02/09/2024
