Profil
- You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Communication, Advertising or Journalism.
- Proven 8 years professional experience in media and public relations required (NGO, corporate, PR agency). Experience in journalism is an advantage, digital skills are an asset.
- You have experience in acting as a company spokesperson and you are comfortable in front of the camera.
- Very good writing, editing and speaking in French (a test will be conducted during the interview).
- You are consistently able to meet the demands of many ongoing deadlines and you are flexible to give interviews on weekends or holidays.
- Languages: French (mother tongue or equivalent level), Dutch (professional level) and English (good command).
Description
- Develop and implement the press strategy for WWF’s key topics, seeking high level placements in all types of media (press, radio, tv, online) in collaboration with the Dutch speaking Press coordinator.
Example of tasks: develop key messages; coordinate media inquiries official response; manage daily media monitoring and regular media analysis; manage/organise press events, informal meetings; keep the media up to date with the organization’s work
- Perform as media spokesperson on behalf of WWF; prepare or supervise the internal media briefings and train the internal experts and other spokespersons/experts for media interventions
- Coordinate the relations with the French speaking media, including media partnerships and media buying.
- Create and pitch stories for blogs and other media; produce news, press releases, media alerts, backgrounders, factsheets, video profiles etc, in collaboration with the digital team.
- Co-manage the Twitter account of the organization and contribute to the development of the social networks.
