You have university-level diploma in Accounting/Finance and you have a first experience in accounts controls/audits
• You are dynamic and adaptable

CONTEXT:
Join Humanity & Inclusion’s Program Accounts team in Lyon or in Brussels.
The team of 9 people is divided between our headquarters in Lyon and Brussels: 2 accountants are based in Brussels and 6 accountants and the team manager are based in Lyon.
The role comes with opportunities for developing your career as it could lead to financial control/audit role or serve as a springboard for taking a job in the field.
YOUR OBJECTIVES:
As Program Accountant, you will provide support for producing the accounts, control the accounts, and the closure documents produced by the field, while ensuring compliance with Belgian accounting standards.
To reach these objectives:
1. You will support the field teams on all accounting matters and compliance with internal procedures.
2. Each month you will revise the accounts submitted by the field:
• Checking cash flow balances and internal transfers
• Lettering and justification of payable and receivable accounts and partnership monitoring
• Checking coherency between allocations and accounting descriptions in the general accounts and in the cost accounts
• Filing and entry of all accounting items
• Checking that all the accounting information has been submitting by the field teams and ensure synchronisation in the ERP.
3. You will participate in inventory:
• Third-party: justification of payables and receivables accounts
• Fixed assets: reconciliation of logistics and accounting data
• Accrued expenses and prepayments: check accounting coherency of the data entered and monitoring implementation.
• Provision: checking coherency between the provisions recorded and released during the year.
4. You will also be responsible for preparing institutional donor audits
• Coordinating the return of accounting items
• Organising accounting items to facilitate their consultation by the auditors
• Monitoring by surveying the quality of the accounting items
