Description
The Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC) is a global network of hundreds of CSOs including NGOs, trade unions, women organisations, consumers and citizens organisations dedicated to improving working conditions and empowering workers in the global garment and sportswear industries. In Europe, we educate and mobilise consumers, lobby companies and governments, and offer direct solidarity support to workers as they fight for their rights and demand better working conditions. CCC Europe is one of the 4 regional coalitions of the global network. The Clean Clothes Campaign European coordinator coordinates a network of 138 members and partners in 24 European countries. In 15 European countries, these members and partners are organised in national coalitions. The European coordinator is employed by achACT asbl, (the national coordinating body of the Clean Clothes Campaign in French-speaking Belgium) and is an integral part of the achACT team (5 people). He or she is closely supported, coached and monitored by the two hosting organisations, achACT and WSM. Additionally, the European Regional Coordinating Body, composed of the two hosting organisations and 4 other member organisations from across Europe, provides guidance and supports the European coordinator in the discharge of his or her function.
