Profil

- Bachelor’s degree in Informatic/ Infographics/ Communication  
- A first experience in computer graphic and multimedia design software (Adobe Creative Suite)
- French or Dutch speaking, with the ability to understand the other language and a good command of English
- CMS platform experience 
- SEO best practices and site optimization knowledge strongly preferred
- Experience in monitoring and reporting site performance
- Expertize in HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, PHP and MySQL is appreciated 
- Knowledge of Google Webmaster, Google Analytics and other SEO and traffic analysis tools
- Able to rapidly fix bugs and similar problems
- Sensitivity to browser compatibility issues
- Ability to work collaboratively and supportively with other team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and perform under short deadlines

Description

Context

WWF-Belgium is opening a 3 to 6-month paid Internship for the Webmaster function, who will provide support in web development initiatives. The webmaster will be part of the Communication team, but will work closely with the Fundraising team and other departments.
The webmaster reports to the Head of Communications, with dotted line to the Digital Engagement Expert.

Summary

The webmaster role is to design, develop and maintain internal and external websites as well as marketing collateral on a limited basis. Responsibilities include:  production, maintenance, and SEO ensuring brand integrity of the site. This position also performs day-to-day content administration of the organization's web portfolio as well as other digital marketing projects as needed. 

Purpose 

Develop and support WWF Belgium’s web presence and digital activity. Liaise with colleagues in all departments to develop web requirements and insure that content and functionality is delivered to meet organizational goals. 

Main responsibilities: 

Develop and maintain internal and external web products
Examples of tasks:
- Maintain and update the website on a regular basis
- Work on developing new site theme designs; sourcing/creation of artwork for marketing materials
- Design of banners, ads, other social media and landing page assets 

Day-to-day content administration of the organization's web portfolio
Examples of tasks:
- Optimize the website content (create new pages, integrate new content, optimize content for SEO after discussions with the copys & digital officer) 
- Execute the implementation of new content and copy for one-off campaigns (create new pages, Iframe implementation)
- Develop the monthly newsletters and campaign action emails using a dedicated emailing tool 
- Find, diagnose, and fix website problems, including broken links, typographical errors, and formatting inconsistencies (together with our digital agency) 
- Manage DNS and website hosting 
- …

Support to other digital marketing projects as needed. 
Examples of tasks:
- Suggest innovative ideas and solutions to improve website visitors’ experience and increase their engagement, supporting ongoing sustainability, security and CMS governance
- Train coworkers to CMS and emailing tools if needed
