Description

CONTEXT

MSF is a living and evolving organization that is always adapting to improve and remain fit for purpose in a changing world. The MSF Operational Center Brussels (OCB) is currently going through several changes in how we are structured and work and collaborate globally. We have a duty to timely communicate about those changes to our staff to keep them informed, and help them understand and incorporate those changes.

In close collaboration with the project teams and the internal communication lead, you will develop and implement internal change communication plans addressing key topics and priorities to enable staff to understand the importance and scope of new initiatives. These initiatives include structural and organizational model changes (more autonomy for the field projects, the creation of multiple centres of support and expertise around the world) as well as focus on the areas of Climate, Environment and Health, and Diversity and Anti-Racism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing, implementing, and following up on change communication strategies and planning, to build awareness, understanding and involvement among different staff groups.
  • Maintaining various information/communication channels, including intranet, newsletters, webinars, face to face meetings…
  • Providing practical communication support, from editing content to creating visuals or videos.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of the delivered communication actions and improving where needed.

CONDITIONS

  • Expected Starting Date: As soon as possible.
  • Location*: Brussels (Belgium). Depending on administrative constraints, given the duration of the contract, other MSF OCB locations may be an option too (Beirut (Lebanon), Johannesburg (South Africa), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil))
  • Mobility: travel may occur, though not on a regular basis
  • Contract type: Fixed-term contract – Full time
  • Contract duration: 1 year
  • If Brussels: Belgian contract. Salary according to MSF-OCB HQ grid. Meal Vouchers – Hospital Insurance (DKV) – Pension Plan – 100% reimbursement for public transportation costs
  • If other location: The contractual conditions will be established based on the station, on administrative / legal constraints and in respect of MSF function grids and salary policies
  • Adhere to the MSF principles and our managerial values: Respect, Transparency, Integrity, Accountability, Trust, and Empowerment
  • Adhere to the MSF Behavioral Commitments

* Candidates with permanent right or valid working permit in the mentioned locations are strongly invited to apply. Due to administrative constraints, given the duration of the contract, for some of the mentioned locations, candidates will need to already have the permanent right and/or a valid work permit to work in the mentioned location.

*The final outcome depends on local legal limitations (residency, work permit, etc.) and on agreement with the hosting MSF office of the location. The local contract and standard salary grid will then apply.
