Profil

You hold a Master Degree in business, finance or similar. You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience as Finance manager or at Coordination level in insecure and complex environments. You have experience in dealing with institutional donors such as ECHO, DFID, UNICEF, etc… You are recognized for your good organisation skills, high degree of independence and capacity to manage priorities. You hold strong management skills and communication skills. A previous experience with ACF and knowledge of ACF policies and guidelines will be a plus.

You are proficient in Excel, SAGA. You are also recognized for you diplomatic skills.

You might travel extensively to the field, under sometimes difficult and occasionally insecure circumstances.

Fluent in English (speaking and writing) is mandatory and knowledge of Arabic will be a plus. 


Description

Country: Yemen based in Sana’a

The Finance Head of Department is based in Sanaa with regular travel to field locations. Managing a rapidly expanding program in one of the largest emergency responses in the world, the Finance Coordinator will be challenged to strengthen the financial management and compliance on the mission during a process of significant scale-up.  ACF is one of the largest organizations operational in the country, implementing health, nutrition, food security, and wash programming, and is piloting Yemen's first Rapid Response Mechanism. The security context remains fluid and unpredictable, and strict security restrictions are placed on movement.    

Length of contract: 12 months starting asap

The position: Under the supervision of the DCD Support and Country Director, you will ensure the sound and transparent financial management of the mission and contribute to strengthening systems and procedures. More precisely, you will be in charge of:


    • Contribute to the definition of mission strategy
    • Ensure high quality accounting for the mission
    • Ensure high quality cash management for the mission
    •  Provide financial and budgetary management
    •  Promote and ensure financial collaboration and coordination with mission partners
    • Prevent and manage fraud and corruption
    • Manage the Finance team in capital and be Technical/Support Manager of Finance 

Status:

Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 depending on relevant experience

Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective or individual accommodation, medical insurance

25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
